Wir grüßen euch ganz herzlich aus Guaratuba! Nach 28 Stunden Flug, Autofahrt und Warterei sind wir gut angekommen. Unser Einsatz ist ein Pioniereinsatz ... und so sind wir viel auf der Straße (hier: am Strand) zu finden, wo wir für die Stadt, das Land und insbesondere für die Menschen beten. Außerdem suchen wir uns Plätze, wo wir Jesus anbeten. In Guaratuba sind wir auf den Morro do Christo (Christushügel) gestiegen. Das ist ein bekanntes Ausflugziel, von wo aus man eine super Aussicht über die ganze Bucht hat.
Hi and many greetings from Guaratuba in Brazil! After a 28-hour-journey we arrived safe and sound. This is a pioneer outreach ... thus we are often out on the streets (in our case here: at the beach), and we are praying for the city, the land and especially the people. Also we are looking for places to worship Jesus. In Guaratuba we climbed the Morro do Christo (Christ mountain), which is a well-known place from where one has a wonderful sight over the Guaratuba bay.
Beim Beten sind uns ein paar junge Leute aufgefallen, die mit Jonglieren auf dem Zebrastreifen versuchten Geld zu verdienen. Als wir abends nochmals zum Beten in die Stadt gingen, trafen wir sie wieder. Allem Anschein nach war der Tag wohl nicht so erfolgreich - sie sahen sehr niedergeschlagen aus. Wir sind losgegangen, haben ihnen Essen und Getränke gebracht und versucht, ihnen von Jesus zu erzählen ... wir üben das noch auf Brasilianisch. Auf alle Fälle lagen wir mit dem Essen und den Getränken goldrichtig ... die drei waren ziemlich hungrig. Es stellte sich heraus, dass sie aus Argentinien kommen und einfach ausgestiegen sind und herumtrampen ... Mal sehen, wann wir sie wiedertreffen!
While going out to pray we were specially drawn to some young people who tried to make money with juggling on the street. When we were out again in the evening to pray we met them once more. Obviously they haven´t been successful - all of them looked very tired and sad. We bought some food and beverages and brought everyting to them, and tried to tell them about Jesus ... we are still practicing our Portuguese. However, we were right with the food and beverages ... the three were very hungry. When communicating we found out that they were originally coming from Argentina and have been travelling for quite some time ... We hope to see them again on our outreach!
