Wow, God is so good ... and he does miracles! Well, let´s tell the story in detail. As we have already reported, we attended the Fire Conference with Reinhard Bonnke. It´s incredible, what the Holy Spirit has done in our lives ... and now we are seeing his impact:
Am Montag waren Benny & Benny und Sonja in der Stadt unterwegs, um einige Erledigungen zu machen. Ihnen stach ein Mädchen ins Auge, das ganz offensichtlich auf der Straße lebte. Benny (der eine von den beiden) spürte, dass der Heilige Geist ihn drängte diesem Mädchen Geld zu geben. "Normalerweise mache ich so etwas nicht, weil ich nicht weiß, was dann mit dem Geld geschieht, aber ich spürte ganz deutlich, dass der Heilige Geist sprach." Er folgte dem Mädchen in ein Geschäft, gab ihr Geld, wünschte ihr Gottes Segen und ging wieder.
On Monday, Benny & Benny and Sonja went downtown to do some shopping. They saw a girl who obviously lived on the street. Benny (one of the two) sensed the promping of the Holy Spirit to give her some money. "Usually I don´t do that so easily, for I don´t know what people do with the money you give them; but this time I sensed that the Holy Spirit spoke to me." He followed the girl to a shop, gave her the money, blessed her and left.
Am nächsten Tag saßen wir zusammen, tauschten uns aus, beteten gemeinsam für den Tag und den Einsatz am Nachmittag und nahmen das Abendmahl. Naja, etwas bedrückt waren wir schon, weil sich so gar nichts zu tun schien in Curitiba ... außer dass wir beteten. Lustig: Inmitten dieser Situation sprach der Heilige Geist zu Ilona: "Nimm heute Nachmittag deine portugiesische Jugendbibel mit. Du wirst sie verschenken." Ilona wollte schon anfangen zu diskutieren, ließ es dann aber ... Dann rief uns Werner an: "Könnt ihr heute Nachmittag in dem Café-Gottesdienst für Bedürftige predigen und Zeugnis geben?" Na klar konnten wir ...
The next day we were sitting together as a team, had a time of exchange, prayed for the outreach in the afternoon and shared communion. To be honest: We were a little disappointed for nothing seemed to happen in Curitiba ... except that we prayed. Funnily: Right in this situation the Holy Spirit spoke to Ilona: "Take this afternoon your Portuguese Youth Bible with you. You are going to give it away." Ilona was about to start to discuss with the Holy Spirit, but left it ... Then Werner called us: "Could you preach and give testimony in the Café service this afternoon?" Certainly we could ...

Als wir am Nachmittag zu dem Einsatz kamen, war der Raum voll. Schon während der Anbetung drehte sich Benny zu Ilona und meinte, dass das Mädchen von der Straße auch da sei. Außer uns war noch ein Team aus England da, mit dem wir am Donnerstag und Freitag ein Bauprojekt in Campo Largo machen werden. Da sie kein Portugiesisch verstehen, predigte Ilona kurzerhand auf Englisch; Werner hat ja sowieso übersetzt. Als sie vorne stand, gab ihr der Heilige Geist als erstes ein prophetisches Wort für Carmen (so heißt das Mädchen). Und dann kam die Botschaft: Jesus, der gute Hirte, der das verlorene Schaf nach Hause bringt und nicht da lässt, wo er es gefunden hat. Beim Aufruf zur Bekehrung kamen ca. 15 - 20 Leute nach vorne, um ihr Leben Jesus zu geben. Und wer war unter den Neubekehrten ... Carmen.
When we arrived at the café in the afternoon, the room was packed. During worship Benny turned to Ilona and said that the girl they met on the street was also there. Besides us there was also a team from England, with whom we are working in a construction project on Thursday and Friday. As they don´t speak any Portuguese, Ilona preached in English; Werner translated anyway into Portuguese. When she started, she first had a prophetic word for Carmen (the girl). Then she shared the message: Jesus, the good shepherd, takes the lost sheep home after he found it. When calling people to give their lives to Jesus, approx. 15 - 20 people came forward to give their lives to Jesus. And who was one of the new converts ... Carmen.

Nach dem Übergabegebet wurden wir noch nach einem Zeugnis gefragt und Sonja erzählte von ihren 2 Heiligungen - eine hat sie an sich selbst erlebt, bei der anderen hat sie für jemanden gebetet. Doch dann sprach sie von der Notwendigkeit, Befreiung von Drogen und Alkohol zu empfangen. Die Leiterin des Café-Gottesdienstes griff diesen Impuls auf und fragte, wer alles Befreiung von Drogen und Alkohol haben wolle. Wieder gingen jede Menge Hände hoch ... darunter auch Carmen. Wir haben fr alle gebetet und der Heilige Geist wirkte. Es war einfach herrlich.
After prayer we ware asked for a testimony and Sonja shared 2 healing testimonies - one when she got healed and the other when she prayed for someone to get healed. However, then she shared about the urgency of being delivered of drugs and alcohol. The leader of the Café service took this impulse and asked who wanted to be delivered of any addiction. Again may lifted their hands ... amongst them was Carmen again. We prayed for everybody and the Holy Spirit moved in power. It was awesome.

Dann erinnerte der Heilige Geist Ilona an die Bibel ... und sie wusste auch ganz genau wer die bekommen sollte - Carmen. Sie ging auf sie zu, erzählte ihr, was Gott ihr am Morgen gesagt hat und fragte sie, ob sie überhaupt eine Bibel haben wollte. Carmens Augen strahlten - natürlich! Als sie sie in den Händen hielt, blätterte sie die Bibel immer wieder durch - fassungslos, was ihr da passiert war.
Then the Holy Spirit reminded Ilona of the bible ... and she exactly knew who the bible was for - Carmen. She shared with her what God spoke in the morning and asked if she wanted to have a bible. Carmen´s eyes beamed - certainly she wanted to have one! When she finally held it in her hand she turned page after page - almost not believing what happened to her that day.
Es ist so toll, was Gott tut. Wir merken, dass wir die ganze Zeit über in Brasilien in den vorbereiteten Werken Gottes gegangen sind. Gott ist so gut!
It is awesome what God is doing. During the whole time in Brazil we sensed that we were walking in God´s prepared ways. He is so good!

Abends haben wir dann noch ein tolles Highlight erlebt: Der Besuch bei der Fokolare-Frauen-WG in Curitiba. Das ist eine katholische Gemeinschaft, die weltweit vertreten ist. Wir sind so herzlich aufgenommen worden und haben uns gegenseitig tolle Erlebnisse mit Gott erzählt, die jeder gemacht hat. Es ist so toll, überall auf der Welt und in allen Denominationen Geschwister zu haben.
In the evening we had another highlight: We visited the Fokolare ladies community in Curitiba. The Fokolare is a worldwide Catholic movement. They welcomed us warmly and we shared about the wonderful things that each of us made with God. It is so wonderful to have brothers and sisters from all denominations all over the world.
Morgen startet das Bauprojekt in Campo Largo! Dann wird wieder mal geschuftet!
Tomorrow starts the construction project in Campo Largo! That means lots of work for us!
