Schwer bepackt mit vielen Sachen, die das Leben schöner machen ... kamen 19 junge Leute zur S.E.M. 09. Somit haben wir nun 11 Zweitschüler und 19 Erstschüler, die ein Jahr lang mit uns leben, arbeiten und Gott erleben werden. Sie sind mutig und kühn, denn viele von ihnen haben Freunde und Familie hinter sich gelassen, um Gott voll und ganz zu folgen. Vom Norden bis zum äußersten Süden, vom Osten bis zum Westen und aus der Schweiz haben sie sich bei Wind und Wetter aufgemacht ... und sind alle heil und wohlbehalten angekommen.
Heavy loaded with many great and wonderful things for a great life ... that's what brought 19 young people to Lüdenscheid, who joined S.E.M. 09. Thus we are now having 11 second-term students and 19 first-termers, who will live and work with us for one year, desiring to experience God in their lives. They are bold and strong, for many of them left friends and family. They want to follow God whole-heartedly. From north to the south of Germany and from east to west as well as from Switzerland they came to us even though the weather was anything but nice ... they all arrived safe and sound.
Gleich am ersten Abend haben unsere Neuen die komplette FCJG-Familie kennen gelernt. Sie sind sehr herzlich von allen aufgenommen worden und haben zum Einstieg kräftige Segensgebete empfangen.
The first night our new students met the FCJG family. They welcomed them warmly and blessed them with powerful prayers.
Und am Wochenende haben wir gemeinsam die Schule und die Gegend unsicher gemacht. Es ist schon ein Abenteuer, in etwas ganz Neues einzutauchen, mit neuen Leuten zusammen zu leben - vielleicht sogar in einem Zimmer -, die man zuvor noch nie gesehen hat. Die Gesichter sehen aber alle ganz glücklich aus.
During the weekend we explored the school building and the area. It's quite an adventure to jump into something new, suddenly live together with new people - perhaps even in one room - whom you have never ever seen before. However, all faces beam with happiness.

Ganz schön viel Zeug! Aber ein Jahr ist ja auch ganz schön lang. Wir freuen uns, Familie Specht aus der Schweiz in diesem Schuljahr dabei zu haben. Ihre Kinder sind zwei und vier Jahre alt - und sie fühlen sich auf der Wislade schon wie zu Hause.
So many things! Well, one year is a long time. We are happy to have the Specht family with us. They are from Switzerland. Their two children are two and four years old - and they already feel at home on the Wislade.
Durch Berg und Tal rund um den Gebetsberg waren wir am Sonntagnachmittag auf Tour.
Over the mountains and through the valley, all around Prayer Mountain we took a Sunday afternoon tour.
